Who We Are

Welcome to Audiology Specialists

We are central New Hampshire’s premier expert in audiology, hearing instruments and hearing evaluations. You will enjoy personal attention from professionals who listen and care.  We demonstrate old-fashioned values such as honesty, integrity and doing what is best for you. We work with the leading manufacturers of hearing equipment. We have the expertise to get you hearing what you’ve been missing.

Dr. Laura O’Brien Robertson’s professionalism and compassion make it easy and enjoyable for folks to feel comfortable as they realize that better hearing truly does start here. Hearing loss comes from many factors, but there are things you can do to improve it.  Imagine the sounds of children laughing, a spouse saying “I love you” or even the beautiful sounds of nature. Sound is too good to miss out on.

Call 603-528-7700 today to take back your hearing.

Hearing Testing

A hearing test is a painless procedure designed to provide us with information about the status of your ability to hear.   We treat every patient as an individual and will tailor the visit to meet your needs.

Tinnitus Management

If you have tinnitus and would like to learn more about it, please call for an appointment for a Tinnitus Evaluation. This appointment will begin with some questionnaires about your tinnitus and include a thorough Audiological Evaluation. At the conclusion of your appointment, you and Dr. Robertson will review the findings and develop a plan of action based on those findings and your personal needs.

Hearing Aids

What You Need to Know Before You Buy a Hearing Aid

You’re ready, but still have a few questions.  Here are a few answers that might provide you with the information you need to get started.

Will a hearing aid help me?
If you have an aidable hearing loss, meaning you have some hearing left to work with then the answer is yes, a hearing aid will help you to hear better.
Will I need two hearing aids?
If you have a problem hearing in both ears (and that’s the rule not the exception) then in all likelihood you will need 2 hearing aids.
Will everyone know I'm wearing a hearing aid?
Maybe they will and maybe they won’t.  But they will notice that you have a hearing problem. More people will notice that you’re having a problem hearing then will ever notice that you’re wearing a hearing aid.
Can I try a hearing aid?
Yes, you can try hearing aids.  Trying a hearing aid to see if a hearing aid works is not the purpose of a trial period.  Instead, a trial period should be viewed as a way to assess which hearing aids may be right for you.  If we already know you have hearing loss then we already know you will benefit from hearing aids.
